New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on October 31, 2022) follows:
Pokemon Go recently introduced Zorua and Zoroark as a surprise during its Halloween event.
Zorua’s illusion ability lets it take the form of different Pokémon in the wild. And due to this unique disguise feature, the chance of stumbling upon Zorua became quite enthralling for trainers.
Pokemon Go Zorua with low HP
Unfortunately, many Pokemon Go players have been reporting an issue where some Zorua are caught with partial or low HP.
@PokemonGoAppn+ @NianticHelp Strangest Thing… I just caught a Zorua & noticed when looking at it… It was Missing HP. Weird! What’s Up? Just Caught it! All Others had Full HP. Please & Thank You!

I found an interesting glitch where when I catch zorua they have less HP than full it isn’t too big a deal but figured I’d post it.
Source
The issue has prompted some trainers to use potions in order to retain Zorua’s HP level upon catching it.
What’s even more frustrating is that there are also some cases where Zorua is caught with missing or no HP at all.
It should be noted that the trickster Pokemon was recently delayed owing to a bug. Luckily, the issue was fixed and Zorua started to appear globally again.
The fact that a bug with the same Pokemon has crept up again is quite frustrating for players.
Official acknowledgment
Fortunately, Niantic support has acknowledged the issue and said that the team is currently working on a fix.
Moreover, the issue has also been listed under ‘Known Issues‘ on Pokemon Go support page.
It seems that there is currently no workaround that can help fix the issue temporarily.
That said, we’ll keep track of the situation and will post an update if and when there are any further developments regarding the matter.
Update 1 (Nov. 02, 2022)
10:11 am (IST): While the issue with Zorua being caught with low or partial HP is still under investigation, Niantic Support has confirmed that the issue related to Zorua’s appearance has now been resolved.
