Gears 5 is the latest installment in the famous Gears of War franchise. It is developed by The Coalition and published by Xbox Game Studios.
Naturally, the title is available only on Windows and Xbox consoles. Gears of War 5 is a third-person shooter that features a single-player campaign along with a multiplayer game mode.
The story takes place right after the events of Gears of War 4. It is regularly updated with new content, thanks to Xbox Game Studios and The Coalition.
Like all other modern titles, Gears of War also suffers from bugs and issues. Having said that, users are reporting an issue with the game.
According to reports, Gears of War players are affected by a bug that is preventing Island Glow Green skins from granting. The issue happens after completing the challenges.
However, the game is rewarding players with coins. The event started on August 31 and will last till September 6.
I was playing with my friends to get the new awesome Island Skins and I get 3000 coins, not the skins, What the hell?! Is this normal or what?

Fortunately, developers have acknowledged the Gears of War bug that prevents Island Glow Green skins from granting. They also said that a fix is underway.
Taking into consideration that the event started yesterday, The Coalition can compensate by giving them extra rewards in addition to the skins.
We hope the developers fix the Gears of War bug that is preventing Island Glow Green skins from granting as soon as possible so players can enjoy the new free skin. When they do, we will update this space so make sure you keep an eye out.
