Apex Legends is one of the most popular battle royale games right now. With millions of people enjoying the game on a daily basis, Apex Legends has been making headlines ever since its launch in 2019.
The game is available on almost every platform including PC, PlayStation Xbox, and even the Nintendo Switch.
Published by EA and developed by Respawn Entertainment, the game will soon make its way to Android and iOS devices.
But, like every EA game out there, Apex Legends also has its fair share of bugs and issues. Recently, players expressed their frustration with the Ranked matchmaking system.
Now, another issue is making the rounds. The latest glitch prevents users from selecting legends before the start of a match.
The Apex Legends legends select screen bug was supposedly fixed a few months ago, but recent reports indicate that it has resurfaced. You can take a look at the issue in the video below:
So since S10 began I would say 70% of the games I can’t choose legend due to bug on load screen, pretty sure there’s more people out there suffering this. I’m actually surprised no one talks about this. Don’t blame the servers, it’s not that.

When I load into a br match the legend select screen doesn’t show up and just shows the map I’m on in the background.

Players also say that they are experiencing the issue ever since the start of Season 9.
Not being able to select legends before the start of a match is really a deal-breaker since users are forced to jump into the match with a blind team composition.
Fortunately, the developers have acknowledged the issue and said it is currently under investigation. However, almost a month has passed by and players are still left at the mercy of the game.
As a temporary workaround, EA should at least let players select from three legends they are comfortable with if the legend they want to use is already picked.
We wonder why EA and Respawn Entertainment are taking this long to fix the Apex Legends legends select screen bug. If this trend continues, it won’t be long before players abandon the game in search of a better alternative.
