The Motorola Edge+ was the first flagship phone from Lenovo-owned company to be released after it spent a couple of years focusing on their mid-range and budget-friendly market.

Not much after, Motorola launched the standard Edge model that was a bit toned down compared to its pricier ‘Plus’ model.

The Motorola Edge Plus was priced at $999 which put it right up against flagships from the big boys — Samsung and Apple. This left many potential buyers a bit disappointed.

Fortunately, the standard Edge was more affordable at $699 but it too had a few compromises that made some steer clear away from it.

But these were only minor issues with the new phones. The biggest problem with the Motorola Edge Plus was the various issues with the screen that even trickled down to some Edge units.

There were multiple updates to address the problem but nothing seemed to have worked, eventually leading up to Motorola having to replace units, which in some cases, were no better.

Nevertheless, in this post, we’ve be keeping tabs on all developments regarding the Motorola Edge and Edge Plus including details on minor or major bugs, security updates, and even Android OS updates.

The Motorola Edge and Edge Plus launched with Android 10 onboard and were set to bag at least two major OS updates. Android 11 was the first big OS update to hit the devices a few months ago.

Now the devices are in line to bag the update to Android 12. This could be the last major OS update for the devices after which they will continue receiving security patches for another year.

That said, in this section we’ll be tracking all the upcoming updates, including security patches, for the Motorola Edge and Edge Plus.

As we had mentioned earlier, it was a rough start for Motorola’s flagship as it came under fire for screen-related issues. But apart from that, there are new software-related bugs and issues that popped up after the company started seeding the stable Android 11 update.

Not being able to control the Edge display is one of the various issues that were brought along with the new OS. That said, in this section, we’ll keep track of some known bugs and issues with the Motorola Edge and Edge+ as well as any new ones that pop into existence.
