Hunt: Showdown came out on PC (Microsoft Windows) in 2019 followed by PlayStation 4 in 2020. The first-person shooter game is quite popular and it recently bagged a new patch.
While new patches and updates are meant to bring new content, fixes, and improvements to games, the 1.6.1 patch appears to have done the opposite.
As per multiple reports, the Plague Doctor and other skins in Hunt: Showdown are missing or locked after the 1.6.1 patch.
It seems Hunt: Showdown players are also unable to recruit Plague Doctor as it is missing from the in-game store and the recruitment section.
This is inconveniencing Hunt: Showdown players as they worked hard to get the skins in the game that are now missing.
I can’t recruit Plague Doctor anymore after the new update. He’s not in the store or legendary hunters recruitment page. I can’t play as him anymore, and my friend is having similar problems. What the hell?

It is also unclear what the exact cause of the problem is but it is clearly widespread and started after the 1.6.1 update.
Moreover, there is currently no workarounds for this issue which is further adding to players’ dilemma.
However, affected players may not have dwell with this problem for too long as it has been acknowledged by Hunt: Showdown support.
Since the issue is already being looked into, it is possible that a fix for the same might arrive in the near future.
This is, however, still based on our speculation as support has not provided any ETA regarding a fix for this problem.
Hopefully, the issue with missing skins gets resolved soon so that players can enjoy Hunt: Showdown without any hassle.
That said, we will report back with more details as and when new information becomes available so stay tuned.
