Developed by a Swedish indie game studio called Neon Giant, ‘The Ascent’ is an RPG game that takes place in a cyberpunk-themed world.
Like Splitgate, Neon Giant has a pretty small team with just 11 developers onboard. The game is developed using Unreal Engine 4 and was released on Windows and Xbox devices on July 29.
Players can finish the game solo or complete it with friends in co-op mode. However, the game is known to have a few bugs here and there.
Having said that, ‘The Ascent’ is pretty much stable after the August 6 patch, with the Codex bug being one of the annoyances that hasn’t been fixed yet.
In the last couple of days, several players have reported that they cannot complete the Codex achievements.
The two entries that seem to be affected by the bug include the ‘Comprehensive’ and ‘Flatliners’.
Is anyone else having Having a problem getting 100 percent for flatliner and comprehensive achievements ? I’ve literally been to all areas, got the achievement for that ,got all lore ,location, manufacturers and enemy codex’s ,but still stuck on 96 percent for enemy codex and 86 percent for codex index ,I literally have nothing of the game left to beat except the very end

So ive finished the game, and i understand that its impossible to get the finished codex achievements for enemies and all entries in general (not sure why but it is) but i dont have 438 hung’s enemy entry, i have his bio and from looking around the wiki and the full codex of enemies online he does have an enemy entry since he is a boss but i just havent gotten his entry for beating him, has anyone else had this kind of issue after killing him?
My only theory is that it bugged out because i destroyed him exceptionally quickly meybe. Idk. Though, apart from the bugs here and there i adore this game, its universe, lore, visuals, music- everything is amazing so great job to the devs on that front!

According to players, other achievements seem to be bugged as well, but we are not sure if it’s the case.
While the bug is not game-breaking in any sense, it is really annoying if you are a completionist.
Fortunately, ‘The Ascent’ developers have acknowledged the Codex bug and said they are working on a fix.
We hope Neon Giant fixes ‘The Ascent’ codex bug in the coming days so players can finally have a sense of satisfaction completing the game.
