The Xbox app is available on a wide range of devices such as Windows, Android, and iOS.
It has many features, such as the ability to use it as a remote control, second-screen functionality, and several community features.
If your device is powered by Windows 10, the app also doubles up as a game launcher for titles you have bought from Steam or the Microsoft Store while letting users record their gameplay footage.
The Xbox app also features a search bar like all other Windows applications that helps gamers search for their favorite titles and friends.
But some recent user reports suggest that the Xbox app search bar shows random results instead of the search term.
In case you are wondering if the search bar results are limited to a platform, we hate it to break it to you it’s not the case. It looks like the Xbox search bar algorithm is bad on all platforms, and it rarely shows the expected results.
@DeadByBHVR why can’t I add my Xbox friend?? It just says to refine my search but that’s not working?? Nor can they find me??

At times, the search bar results are really frustrating if you are trying to connect with someone on the Xbox app.
Some users also say that it’s hard to find purchased games, and as a result, they are unable to look up the extra content for that title.
Microsoft is yet to acknowledge the issue, let alone work on a fix. But we expect the tech giant to make some amends to the Xbox app search bar so that it can actually provide some useful results.
To be honest, the Xbox Search bar results are worse than what you would expect on Bing. Nonetheless, we expect it to get better with time.
