Tom Clancy’s XDefiant is yet to come out but it is already being tested for PC in the US and Canada. Since the game is in the closed testing phase, it is only natural for bugs and issues to occur.

As per recent reports from Twitter, Tom Clancy’s XDefiant players are facing a problem where they are getting the ECHO error message.

The ECHO-02 and ECHO-06 error is preventing Tom Clancy’s XDefiant players from connecting to the game servers via their main account.

This problem was promptly acknowledged by support, as seen below.

We are aware of some users receiving ECHO error messages and are working towards resolving ASAP. Please note this issue may also impact map load times. We’ll provide updates in this post once we have more info. Thanks for the reports!

Heck, support even followed up and claimed that the issue was fixed for some players, but works to address the same for those still facing it was still ongoing.

However, players are still facing the ECHO error which indicates that the said fix did not properly address the issue.

This is inconveniencing XDefiant players as they are unable to play the game. However, a workaround for the issue is available.

Players can create a new Ubisoft account and register for XDefiant with the same. Once done, players can send an invite to the new account via the main account.

After that, log out of the main account and log in with the new one to play the game without any hassle.

While this is not exactly a proper and very efficient fix, it appears to be doing the trick for some.

Also, XDefiant support has once again said that they are still working to fix the ECHO error as soon as possible.

It is only natural for software in testing phase to have a few issues and bugs here and there as long as they are being taken care of.

The team is working on a fix for this issue currently! We will post an update to the thread once we have more information.

Hopefully, the ECHO error issue gets resolved soon so that players can play and test Tom Clancy’s XDefiant without any hassle.

That said, we will report back with more details as and when we get new information so stay tuned.
