Xiaomi’s Game Turbo stands out when pitched against the competition as it isn’t just some fancy-looking, gimmicky piece of software. Instead, it comes with some actually useful features.

For starters, you get some pretty granular GPU settings that include stuff you only find in PC games like options to adjust anti-aliasing, framerate, and anisotropic filtering.

You also get touch settings containing some really fancy stuff like adjustments for swipe response, aiming accuracy, and tap stability.

Other miscellaneous features include a 5G network optimizer, GPU driver updater, and even an in-game overlay containing DND settings, app shortcuts, screen recorder, and voice changer.

Do keep in mind that the number of features fluctuates from device to device, so it’s not guaranteed that you will have all of them.

Still, it’s pretty clear now that the utility is highly underrated. Such is its richness in features that even after all of the aforementioned, we still have managed to leave out quite a few.

However, while the app has seen plenty of feature additions in the past couple of years, its UI has remained largely unaltered since it was first introduced with MIUI 12.

But with MIUI 13 just around the corner, a redesign for the GPU Turbo app is only inevitable.

And now, Xiaomi has confirmed that they’re indeed working on a major UI overhaul for the Game Turbo app with a poll asking users to choose their prefered design from a set of designs. These have been given below.

The poll may have been locked now, but at least we managed to get a peek into the likely MIUI 13-based upgrade of Game Turbo.

It is currently unclear if the designs are actual screenshots or just renders, because if they are actual screenshots, then it is possible that Xiaomi will actually allow Game Turbo to be themable, letting users select a design from a list of presets.

Also unknown is whether the redesign is actually a part of MIUI 13 or if it will be released as a regular app update.

However, judging from the MIUI 13 File Manager beta, Game Turbo could be just another one of those apps receiving a new splash of color with Xiaomi’s next big Android skin update.
