Roblox is a favorite among kids and grown-ups alike and with an ever-growing player base, it now rivals games like Fortnite and Minecraft, thus becoming one of the most popular online games on the planet.
Unfortunately, just like any other game, it doesn’t come without its occasional set of issues. We highlighted last month how both the Roblox website and app went down due to an outage.
And now, possibly following an update, there has been a slew of reports about blurry, pixelated textures within the Roblox app on mobile.
As of yesterday, the graphics, even on the main Roblox screen, are terrible (i.e. not in game). The texture quality if blurry on just about everything I look at. Buttons in game UI are unreadable. Terrain is the worst, looking as though you are zooming in to the pixel level. It’s as though, overnight, Roblox has decided that this Samsung tablet is a stone age relic.

Texturing broken on mobile? Things are kinda fuzzy and some misplaced menu selections was there an update recently that could be causing this?

As clear from the above complaints, the issue does not discriminate between platforms as it affects both Android and iOS equally.
The broken textures appear on all sorts of objects including clothes, images, and even on the menu making the glitched-out bits as something straight out of an Atari console.
And no, the issues are limited to mobile platforms as a couple of players have confirmed that they aren’t facing anything as such on Roblox’s desktop version.
We have scoured the socials and the forums for any workaround for the issue but weren’t able to find any. So in case you come across one, be sure to drop a comment.
For now, your best bet would be clearing the app’s cache or performing a re-install.
There’s also no sign of any official acknowledgment for the pixelated textures on Roblox, so it’s unclear when the issue will be resolved. However, given its nature, it is likely that it will disappear soon and as suddenly as it arrived.
That said, we will continue keeping an eye on the matter for further developments and will be updating this article accordingly, so stay tuned.
