New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on July 17, 2021) follows:
COD Black Ops Cold War is the latest entry in the Black Ops series and it has a pretty solid player base.
However, players are having a tough time crafting Uranium devices in the COD Black Ops Cold War Mauer der Toten Easter Egg map due to a bug.
As per multiple reports, the said bug causes the crafting progression to stop as soon as players start crafting Uranium devices in the Mauer der Toten Easter Egg map.
It is unclear what the exact cause of the said issue is but it is clearly widespread considering the number of reports from players.
This is certainly inconveniencing many as they are unable to progress in the game because of the said problem.
I’m not able to craft the device for some unknown reason. It goes halfway and then kicks me out. This was my second attempt on the Easter Egg and all of my attempts have ended in the same way due to this glitch. Anyone else experiencing this as well? u/treyarchcm please review this.

However, affected players may not have to dwell with the problem for too long as it has been officially acknowledged by Treyarch.
While Treyarch has not shared any specifics about the issue in the acknowledgement, a fix is indeed in the works for the same.
This is certainly good news for COD Black Ops Cold War players but the lack of workarounds and ETA for the said fix is further adding to players’ dilemma.
A player did mention that disabling Mule Kick allowed them to craft Uranium devices in the said map.
However, it is unclear whether the said workaround is resolving the issue for others as well or not.
Hopefully, Treyarch soon releases a fix for the said issue so that players can craft Uranium devices in the Easter Egg map without any hassle.
That said, we will keep tracking this for further development and will report back when we get more details to share so stay tuned.
In the meantime, be sure to keep an eye on our dedicated Call of Duty bugs and issues tracker to get the latest updates on the topic.
Update 1 (July 19)
While players continue asking the devs about the fix, we have at hand a user-suggested workaround that may help resolve the glitch. All you have to do is switch the operator to a male one. Here’s how the user puts this:
For the people that are having issues with the Uranium bug make sure you switch to a male Operator because when I did that I am able to craft the Uranium the crafting table with no issues Smiling face with smiling eyes at all
