Samsung has been on a roll lately with its software updates. Unlike other smartphone brands, it has provided the latest One UI update to most of its devices ahead of its own schedule.

The latest Samsung phone to receive the goodness of Android 11 is the Galaxy A12 from Verizon. The global version of the same bagged the said update two months back in May 2021.

It has certainly been a long wait for Verizon users in the US. Nonetheless, now that the update has started rolling out, users should get it within the next few hours or days.

As far as additional details are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy A12 units from Verizon have bagged the Android 11 update with the May 2021 security patch and the software version is A125USQU2BUFE.

The new update for the Verizon variants of the Samsung Galaxy A12 Android 11 update, like any other One UI 3.1 device, brings a revamped notification panel, improved the volume layout, and several cosmetic improvements and changes overall the UI.

As far as core Android 11 changes are concerned, notifications are now more organized into three categories, chat bubbles make their debut, more strict privacy controls among many other changes and features.

With that being said, Samsung recently has been going all in to provide the latest Android 11 update to its phones, be it midrange or flagship. The software support is also much better than its rivals.

Take for instance the Galaxy S21 series, which has not missed out on any monthly or security patch update since its debut. Samsung is no longer the brand we used to remember — the one with lousy and slow update rollouts.

Even Samsung’s budget-oriented phones from the Galaxy A series have been well treated with software updates, and that too is on the path to get 3 major Android OS updates. Pretty nice!

All in all, the smartphone giant has improved a lot over the past couple of years especially in the software experience and support.
