Motorola Android 11 update brings bugs, issues, & a downgraded user experience for many

Motorola has been pretty slow with its Android 11 update and while some of its eligible devices are finally getting the OS update, others are still in line for the same.

Slower or delayed Android updates could mean a refined user experience but the case appears to be the opposite with Motorola’s Android 11 update.

As per several reports, Motorola users have been facing multiple bugs and issues after updating their device to Android 11.

There are numerous reports where issues like battery drain, lagging, heating, and many more are troubling users after the said OS update.

Affected devices include Motorola Moto G 5G Plus, Motorola Moto G Power (2020), Motorola Moto G9 Play, and more.

The G9 series devices like the Moto G9, Moto G9 Power, and Moto G9 Play bagged the update to Android 11 pretty recently.

However, one of our readers has pointed out that they are experiencing issues with the proximity sensor on their Motorola Moto G9 after the Android 11 update.

Updated to Android 11 on moto g9 in india.But now having issues while doing regular calling.Upon using speaker while calling display getting on and off and other apps getting opening up automatically.

To recall, users of the Motorola Edge and Edge Plus noticed that the Edge display feature was removed for several apps after the Android 11 update.

Also, there were reports about laggy animations, screen timeout, persistent fingerprint icon, disappearing icons, and more bugs on the Motorola Edge after the said OS update.

This clearly indicates that Motorola’s Android 11 update might not be as optimized as it should be. Also, Motorola does not have a custom skin of its own which further complicates matters.

While Motorola has already acknowledged many such issues, it is unclear how long the OEM will take to fix them considering the speed at which it delivers its software updates.

Hopefully, Motorola takes a deeper look into matters like these and resolves such bugs and issues in the future.
