If you do not live in some remote corner of the Amazonian rainforest, you might have heard of the world’s most popular microblogging platform, Twitter.

While it is quite rare for a service like Twitter to have issues, users sometimes experience some bugs here and there.

In the last few hours, several Twitter users have reported that they are unable to watch videos on the platform. Whenever a user tries to watch a video, they are greeted with a playback error of some sort.

While the issue seems to be affecting multiple internet providers, the majority of users who are getting Twitter video playback error issue seem to be on the Virgin Media network.

The company has acknowledged the problem and says that they are working with Twitter to fix the issue. However, they did not say when it will be fixed.

Having said that, Twitter users on the Virgin Media network were quick to come up with a workaround.

If you are affected by the Twitter video playback error on the Virgin Media network, you can try fixing the issue by disabling the Child Safe Settings on the network or adding Twitter and this link to the list of safe websites.

IST 03:25 pm: Virgin Media support has recently acknowledged the issue where Twitter videos are giving playback error and a fix is expected to arrive soon.
