Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro MIUI 12.5 stable update rolling out (Download link inside)

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro was launched in early 2019 and continues to be one of the most popular devices from Xiaomi to date.

The phone brought the modern glass sandwich design to the Redmi Note series for the first time along with a very pixel-dense camera sensor (48MP).

On the software side of things, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro booted into Android Pie out of the box. It has since then been updated to MIUI 12 based on Android 10.

Unfortunately, the device was launched at a time when Xiaomi was still giving out only a single Android version update to most of its budget devices including the Redmi Note series.

Had the Redmi Note 7 Pro released a year later, it would’ve bagged two Android updates just like its successor – Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro.

Nonetheless, while Android 10 is indeed the last Android version update for the Redmi Note 7 Pro, the device still awaits its final MIUI 12.5 upgrade.

The wait has finally come to an end now as the MIUI 12.5 stable beta update is now rolling out in China with a brand new May security patch.

Again, the build is for the Chinese variant of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro alone so it wouldn’t be installable over global MIUI 12 (unless the bootloader is unlocked).
