Android 12 is already in its advanced development stages, all efforts currently being geared towards the expected August-October official release window.

Even as this happens, some OEMs are still working on pushing out stable versions of Android 11 to their eligible devices, more on that in our dedicated Android 11 tracker.
One such OEM is LG. We all know the woes that this one formidable player in the Android space has been facing, having to close shop on its smartphone business early this year.
Luckily, the company still plans to maintain its existing devices and in line with this, the company is, today, releasing its update release schedule for its remaining devices for Q3 of 2021.
According to the release schedule, in the third quarter of 2021, LG plans to push out Android 11 to the LG Q31 and the LG V50S ThinQ. A bunch of other devices are also slated to receive security patches. These include the LG Q51, Q52, Q61, Q92 5G, and the X2 (2019).

Recently, we saw LG finally rolling out Android 11 update to the LG Q92 5G and this new development could be a testament to LG’s commitment to supporting its existing devices.
