One look at screenshots of Android 12 and you’ll immediately realize that everything is now rounder than ever. Google has embraced rounded edges throughout the OS to give a more unified interface, and of course, to up the visual appeal.
The company has also finally given some love to widgets that come with its own apps and has not only updated them but also added all-new clock, weather, and Conversation widgets.
However, the problem for the vast majority of Android users is that Android 12 is still pretty out of reach, being several months away from a final release, unless you happen to be a Google Pixel owner.
Heck, even those actually running the Android 12 beta may not have access to the new widgets since they haven’t been enabled/made available yet.
While there presently indeed are ways to bring Android 12 widgets to Android 11 and older versions through KWGT widgets, the steps to add them can prove to be quite cumbersome.
That’s where Android 12 Clock Widgets steps in. Just like its name implies, the app provides Android 12-style clock widgets but without the need for any additional apps to set them up. This is because the app is standalone.
All you got to do is download the app and drag and drop the Android 12 Clock Widgets from the widgets menu to your home screen. And that’s it. Your phone is now running Android 12!
Of course, the widgets won’t really automatically switch their background colors based on your wallpaper since older Android versions lack Material You’s wallpaper-based theming system.
However, the app makes up for the lacking by offering several colors to choose from for each clock widget. Each? Yeah, you heard that right. There are also several digital and analog clock styles to pick from.
Last but not the least, all of the available clock widgets are highly flexible in size and can be resized as per the user’s liking simply by holding down on them on the home screen.
So what are you waiting for? Simply head over to this Google Play Store link to download the Android 12 Clock Widgets and try out all of the Android 12 widgets in all their glory.
Do note here that while the app is totally free to download, you will need to unlock its premium version in order to use all of the available clock widgets. The fee is quite nominal though.
With that being said, be sure to keep an eye on our dedicated Android 12 tracker as we keep it updated with all things Android 12.
