Samsung SmartThings Framework can be used to control SmartThings devices from various companion apps. Apps like Smart View, Calendar, Clock, Weather, and more can be used directly from the SmartThings UI to manage numerous smart home devices.

Among them, TVs, lights, speakers, appliances like air purifiers, air conditioners, and more. Now, it seems that the Framework app is getting some enhancements.

The latest update for the Framework app brings along new smart home automation capabilities making it even more efficient.

The update version 1.2.00.16 (2021.06.13) includes new tasks for controlling lights, TVs, and window blinds among other smart home devices.

So, let us take a look at what all the latest update for Samsung SmartThings Framework has to offer.

The TVs and lights can now be easily switched on whereas the window blinds can be opened when a mobile alarm rings.

The lights and window blinds can also be adjusted for an optimal television watching environment while casting screen to Samsung TV via Smart View.

Also, air purifier can now be efficiently controlled by checking the indoor air quality in the Weather app.

Moreover, TVs and speakers can be used to get the Calendar events alerts. This update is indeed meant to enhance the user experience by further making it easier for users to manage their smart home devices.

However, some of the features of the Framework app will not work with smartphones from other vendors as the app is optimized for Samsung smartphones.

It is still good to see that the OEM is constantly improving its apps and software to provide the best possible user experience.
