The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S that also goes by the name of Redmi Note 9 Pro in India has had its fair share of issues since launch.

Some of these include the downgraded Widevine L1 issue, the notorious Wi-Fi connectivity problems, system lag, and the long-standing random reboot bug.

As if all of the above issues weren’t enough, there is now yet another doing rounds about boot-related problems. We have listed some of the reports pertaining to it below.

My Redmi Note 9s takes too much time to restart. Sometimes it takes 8 to 10 minutes to restart. What is the problem? Please help.

As it stands, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9S, and the Poco M2 Pro have all been taking way too long to boot up or restart following some recent updates.

Users say that the device gets stuck on the ‘Redmi’ boot logo for around 5 to 10 minutes before finally displaying the lock screen.

While this doesn’t happen with every boot, it is still frequent enough to be extremely annoying, particularly for those who turn their phone off during work or just reboot it quite often.

Some even say that the phone gets stuck indefinitely following which the only solution is a force reboot.

Sadly, even with all these complaints, the issue is yet to be escalated to the concerned team. The only acknowledgment of sorts given out to date is the following:

If you didn’t already know, you can perform a forced reboot by holding down the power button for around 10 seconds when your Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9S, or Poco M2 Pro gets stuck on the Redmi logo or takes too long to restart.
