In a recent press release following the shutdown announcement, the OEM has answered several user queries regarding after-sales services and more.

The OEM has announced that existing mobile customers will continue to get software updates and service support.

However, the period of time for which the said support will be provided will differ according to regions.

Also, existing LG smartphone users will get software updates as per the OEM’s software update schedule.

LG has even stated that the Android 11 update rollout for eligible devices will continue as planned and the Android 12 update might also be provided to some eligible devices.

The OEM is known for taking time with its software updates but it is still good news for LG customers as some of them might get to enjoy Android 12 in the future.

Apart from that, the OEM has also mentioned that it will try to keep up with its in-house app updates along with app updates for its business affiliates.

Moreover, interested users will still be able to purchase LG smartphones in different regions until the inventory runs out.

All in all, it is good to see that the OEM is still striving to prevent its existing customers from any inconvenience.
