[Update: May 28] Poco F3 delayed touch response in CoD & PUBG to get optimized in next monthly update, says company executive

The Poco F3 has a pretty impressive spec sheet with its Snapdragon 870 processor, 120Hz AMOLED display, Dolby Atmos dual speakers, all encased in a strikingly slim 7.8mm body.

But perhaps its most extreme hardware feature is 360Hz touch sampling. This combined with the 120Hz refresh rate of the display promises the most responsive of touch screen experiences.

However, the real-world performance doesn’t at all seem that astronomical, at least for some users. There have been a few complaints stating that the touch response on the Poco F3 feels delayed/slow.

This is noticeable in games like Call of Duty Mobile and PUBG where even the slightest of sluggishness can bar you from securing that “chicken dinner”.

Users have observed that character movement lags slightly. All this is pretty ironic from a device that has been marketed as having a 360Hz touch response. Response rates this high typically translate to absolutely zero delays.

Nonetheless, the good news is that a Xiaomi executive has revealed that the dev team has merged some optimizations regarding the touch response on the Poco F3 into an upcoming update. This may come in the form of an OTA next month.

Also worth mentioning here is that the Redmi K40 may also be plagued by the same problem. After all, it is virtually the same device as the Poco F3 with the only difference being the branding.

This means that if the purported bug-fixing update truly performs as promised on the Poco F3 then the same can be expected for the Redmi K40 as well.
