Incoming is a service outage alert!
Is Sky Mobile network down, and not working for you? Please be informed that the service is seemingly going through an outage in some regions which has got affected users to route to micro-blogging site Twitter and other online discussion platforms to highlight their concern.

A quick look at Down detector – a service that gives a realtime overview of outages and other issues – reflects Sky Mobile is encountering a glitch in regions. Here’s a live outage map showcasing the same:
Coming to whether there’s an official word on the matter, SkyHelpTeam on Twitter has acknowledged the issue saying:
I’m sorry you’ve been affected by this, our support teams are looking into the issue and will have everyone up and running again ASAP.
We’re aware of an issue affecting Sky Mobile services and hope to have this resolved ASAP.

Update 1 (April 15)
While the problem has been acknowledged, the team is now investigating if the outage is widespread.
We have raised this to our tech teams to see whether this is a wider outage. As soon as we have further updates, we will make our customers aware of this.

FYI, the service outage isn’t affecting calling only, but messaging as well (using the mobile data).

Sky help has officially confirmed an outage due to a break in the cable in Yorkshire & the Humber area.
Hi there, thank you for your tweet. We’re aware of a broadband issue in the Yorkshire & Humber area. This has been caused by a fibre cable break and engineers are onsite working to get this fixed ASAP. As soon as we have an update, we will post an update to our Twitter page.
