New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on May 6, 2021) follows:

Samsung has been sending out the Android 11 update to eligible devices with its One UI 3.0 and One UI 3.1 skins for a few months now.

We’ve been covering most of these releases and it seems a new device bags the update to Android 11 every few days but Samsung is still not done with its Android 11 rollout.

This just goes to show that the company drops a boatload of smartphones into the market every year to cover just about every price segment and, at times, makes things confusing by competing with its own phones.

That said, the latest smartphone from Samsung to get the Android 11 update with its One UI Core 3.1 skin is the Galaxy M11.

Samsung confirmed the information on its official documentation page for software updates for the Galaxy M11 sold in Vietnam (SM-M115F | XEV).

The software update is rolling out with the firmware version number M115FOXM2BUD8 and is dated 2021-04-22. It brings with it the April 2021 security patch to fortify the device against known exploits.

As we mentioned earlier, this is the One UI Core 3.1 skin and not the standard One UI 3.1 skin that we see on most other mid-rangers and flagships from Samsung.

So don’t expect to see features such as Edge Lighting and the other new Camera features that come with One UI 3.1.

Now that the Android 11 update with One UI Core 3.1 is live for the Samsung Galaxy M11 in Vietnam, it shouldn’t be long before it makes its way to units sold in other regions.

So stay tuned to our dedicated tracker to know more about the status and availability of Android 11 with One UI 3.1 for all eligible models from Samsung.
