Google Photos is one of the most widely used photo storage and sharing services across the globe.
However, users may run into situations where the Google Photos files (photos and videos) get deleted accidentally.
There are several threads regarding this problem on the Google Support community where users have lost their Google Photos data.
While some threads are about recovering permanently deleted photos, other outline situations where users deleted their Google Photos files accidentally.
It must be noted that for permanently deleted photos and videos, it is not possible to restore them.
However, if the deleted files are still present in Trash, users have 60 days to recover them from the date they were moved to Trash.
If for any reason the deleted photos and videos get removed from Trash, they get permanently deleted.
Also, if the Backup and sync option is enabled for an account in Google Photos, changes made to the Google Photos data in that account get synced across all devices.
So, if you have deleted your Google Photos files and want to recover them, be sure to check the Trash folder within 60 days of deletion.
Moreover, you can also get in touch with a Google Photos specialist if the data gets permanently deleted.
Apart from that, your best bet would be to use third-party photo recovery apps to recover lost and permanently deleted photos.
That said, we will be back with more details as and when new information becomes available so stay tuned.
