New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on April 27, 2021) follows:
Apple recently released the much anticipated iOS 14.5 stable update for its iPhone models.
While the said update offers a lot of improvements, it is also said to fix an issue which was affecting the iPhone 11 series.
It was reported earlier that some iPhone 11 Pro Max units were showing a decline in the battery health capacity.
While the battery health capacity was 100% for some users, others were reporting that it dropped to 97% and below.
However, Apple claims that iOS 14.5 fixes the said issue as it includes an update for the battery health reporting system.
The system will recalibrate the peak performance capability and maximum battery capacity on iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
This recalibration will further address the inaccurate battery health estimates issue which was affecting several iPhone 11 users.
Also, Apple has said that the inaccurate estimates do not reflect the actual health of the battery.
This is certainly good news for users of the iPhone 11 series who were affected because of the said issue.
It is, however, unclear whether the latest iOS update indeed fixes the said issue or not. So, if you are facing the said issue on your iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, or iPhone 11 Pro Max even after the iOS 14.5 update, feel free to drop a comment below.
Moreover, you can also cast a vote on the Twitter poll below to let us know whether the issue has been fixed or not.
That said, we will update this story with the poll results after a week so stay tuned to PiunikaWeb.
