New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…

Original story (published on April 29, 2021) follows:

The Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro was released back in October last year as a successor of sorts to the Mi 10 Pro. The device has a non-Pro variant as well with a slightly toned-down primary camera.

In China, the Mi 10T Pro is sold with the Redmi branding and goes by the name of Redmi K30S Ultra. All of the aforementioned devices booted into Android 10-based MIUI 12 upon unboxing.

And ever since MIUI 12.5 got announced late last year, the wait has been on for the next big update. The Mi 10T Pro is a flagship-level device which means that it has a higher priority when compared to other models with regards to update rollout.

This has been proven now as the Mi 10T Pro has become one of the early birds to bag the MIUI 12.5 stable update, joining the likes of Mi 10 Ultra and the Mi 11.

For the uninitiated, MIUI 12.5 is an iterative update designed to further improve MIUI 12. The update brings along performance improvements, enhanced privacy features, an updated Notes app, new animations, and some UI tweaks.

You can try the Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 update and all of its glory after downloading it from the link given below:

  • Device: Xiaomi Redmi K30S Ultra/Mi 10T/10T Pro
  • Codename: apollo
  • Channel: China Stable Beta

    • Type: Recovery

Do keep in mind though that the build is China-specific and will most likely not install over your global MIUI 12 ROM. The only way to work around it will be unlocking the device bootloader and installing it from recovery, which is definitely not recommended.

But given the fact that the MIUI 12.5 update has now rolled out for the Chinese Redmi K30S Ultra, it won’t be long before it is released for the global Mi 10T/10T Pro as well.

Therefore, you might want to keep an eye on our dedicated MIUI 12.5 update tracker so that you do not miss out on any new developments. Also be sure to check out the updated MIUI 12.5 update timeline from Xiaomi.
