Over the past couple of months following the rollout of OnePlus’ Android 11-based OxygenOS 11, we’ve seen a couple of bugs and issues reported.

True, OnePlus has been hot on the heels of these bugs, squashing them with regular updates and hot fixes but in what seems to be a bad game of whack-a-mole, new bugs keep cropping up.

The transition to OxygenOS 11 was a pretty drastic one and many attributed the many bugs that ensured to this rather massive shift in design philosophy.

Nonetheless, the bugs kept on coming and one of the early bugs to be reported had to do with the OnePlus Weather Widget.

According to users, their units remained stuck with outdated weather info despite both location and data services being enabled.

OnePlus then came out to acknowledge this issue, along with a bunch of other bugs and issues that were afflicting OnePlus device owners at the time.

While most of these reports come from users with OnePlus devices that are already running the latest OxygenOS 11 (1,2,3,4,5,6) there is a number from the older OxygenOS 10.

We can only hope that OnePlus finally finds a way to sort these users once and for all as it is the little foxes like these that add up to mess up a user’s experience.

We shall continue to keep an eye on this and update as and when we get more info so stay tuned to PiunikaWeb.
