Google’s smart video doorbell, Google Nest Hello, came out in 2018 and has since become quite popular among Google’s smart home users.
The Nest Hello sends alerts in the form of video feeds to other connected Google Home devices like the Nest Hub, Nest Mini, and more.
However, users have been facing an issue where their Google Home devices do not alert when the Nest Hello doorbell rings (GHT3 visitor announcement).
While this problem first appeared on the Google Support community last year, users are still reporting about the same.
This further indicates that the tech giant might still not have addressed the issue which seems to be affecting multiple Google Nest Hello users.
Since there has been no official announcement from Google on the matter, it is unclear what is causing this issue.
Also, users have been guided to perform generic troubleshooting on their Google Home devices including the Nest Hello to no avail.
Moreover, a Community Specialist said last year that the concerned team is aware of this issue and is working to resolve it.
To this date, there has been no response from the tech giant on the matter which further suggests that the issue might not have been handled properly.
While this is still based on our speculation, whether or not Google is still working to resolve this issue remains a mystery.
Hopefully, the tech giant provides a fix for the problem soon as smart home devices are usually meant to make things easier and not the other way around.
That said, we will keep tracking this for further development and will provide more details once new information becomes available.
