Samsung has been on its A-game with software updates over the past few months. The South Korean giant has rolled out Android 11 to most of its eligible devices with only a few yet to get it.

While that’s all good news, the sad part about the current state of Android updates is that it can take weeks or even a couple of months for the update to go live in all regions for a single handset.

Users are often left in the dark as to when they’ll get the software update even though it may be rolling out in other regions.

Luckily, Canadian carriers maintain software update schedules to inform users about upcoming software updates.

Thanks to this, we now know that the Samsung Galaxy A70 will get the update to Android 11 with One UI 3.1 in Canada soon.

In the latest update to its OS upgrade schedule, Fido has confirmed that the Galaxy A70 will get the One UI 3.0 update with the March security patch.

However, this could be an error since it seems Samsung and mobile carriers are using generic changelogs for the update to Android 11.

Recently, Verizon claimed that the Galaxy A51 bagged the One UI 3.0 update, however, users confirmed it was the One UI 3.1 update.

Similarly, Samsung’s official Android 11 changelog for the Galaxy Tab S6 mentioned that it brings the Second Screen feature to the device but it did not.

So it’s likely that the Samsung Galaxy A70 units in Canada will get the One UI 3.1 skin based on Android 11 instead of the One UI 3.0 skin.

In case the device actually bags One UI 3.0, it would definitely raise our eyebrows considering the fact that it bagged the One UI 3.1 update in many regions already.

10:30 am (IST): TELUS has confirmed that it will be sending out the Android 11 update for the Samsung Galaxy A70 on April 27.

It’s likely that models purchased from Rogers would also get the update on the same date, however, the carrier has only shared details of the availability of the March patch on April 27 for the device.
