New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…
Original story (published on March 10, 2021) follows:
The Poco X3 NFC may have been launched in September last year, but it is still a pretty competitive offering even after several new releases.
Its spec sheet and price tag are not too dissimilar from that of the new Redmi Note 10 series and is thus a pretty neat alternative for those that are not too much of a fan of the Xiaomi Redmi brand.
After all, it shares the same Snapdragon 732G processor, 64 MP shooter, 6.67″ screen size, and 120Hz refresh rates found on the Pro variants of the Redmi Note 10.
The only thing missing is an AMOLED display but it shouldn’t strike as too great a caveat considering the bunch of other goodies the phone offers at its price.
Nonetheless, being launched only last year means that the device’s software support is far from over which automatically makes it eligible for an Android 11 update. The device shipped with Android 10 out of the box and its users have anxiously been waiting on new developments.
The wait is now finally over as the Poco X3 NFC has now actually bagged Android 11 in the European region or EEA. The update is of course still based on MIUI 12 since MIUI 12.5 still hasn’t been released for any device.
Unfortunately, a changelog wasn’t available for the same but if it does show up, we will update the article accordingly. The download link has been given below though, just as promised.
- Device: Poco X3 NFC
- Codename: surya
- Channel: EEA stable
- Version: 12.0.6.0.RJGEUXM
- Android: 11

Now, although the update isn’t based on MIUI 12.5, as already pointed out, the Poco X3 NFC is still obviously eligible for it. You will be pleased to know that a stable version is slated to arrive sometime in Q2 2021.
Therefore, you might want to keep an eye on our dedicated MIUI 12.5 tracker so that you do not miss out on any new developments.
Also, be sure to stay tuned to our Poco Android 11 update tracker that will be updated as and when the Android 11 update for the Poco X3 NFC rolls out for more regions.
