New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on April 07, 2021) follows:

Nokia seems to have finally picked up its lost pace after succumbing terribly to the slow Android 11 rollout pace.

With Nokia 3.2 as the recent addition to the Android 11 list, the company may finally bring a bag full of good news for the rest of the devices in the rollout plan.

The company has indeed opened up its Android 11 flood gates as it is now the turn of Nokia 2.3 users.

Nokia, in an official announcement in the community, has shared the news of the Android 11 rollout for the Nokia 2.3.

(Announcement)

So far, it is only the commencement announcement that has gone live. We are yet to receive reports from actual users.

Initially scheduled sometime in Q1 2021, Nokia failed to deliver the Android 11 update for the Nokia 2.3, leaving thousands disappointed.

But it’s still not late if Nokia somehow manages to boost its development and rush the rollout of Android 11 to other devices too.

The update, like always, will proceed to air in waves. The first wave has begun which covers a wide range of states.

Wave 1 includes Bangladesh, Cambodia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hong Kong, Iceland, Latvia, Laos, Lithuania, Macau, Malaysia, Nepal, Norway, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Vietnam.

10% of these approved markets will receive the update immediately, 50% by April 10th, and on April 12th, 100% of these markets will have received the Android 11 update.

This will be followed by the second wave rollout where the Android 11 update will be impacting the left out countries.

This not only sends out positive news to the Nokia 2.3 users but also serves as a ray of hope for other stranded devices too.
