New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on April 1, 2021) follows:

Realme expanded its premium smartphone portfolio with the launch of Realme X7 Pro in February this year.

The specs-sheet is praiseworthy, design is eye-catchy but the only downside here is the fact that it comes with Android 10 out-of-the-box.

This restricts the device from going above Android 12 in the future as the brand only offers 2 major OS updates.

But anyway, Realme X7 Pro is slated to receive the Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 in April which is pretty fast for a device that has recently been launched.

Realme announced a more detailed Realme UI 2.0 roadmap with a month-wise rollout schedule for Q2.

The first device from Realme to be upgraded to Android 11 in Q2 is going to be the Realme X7 Pro.

This, however, will only be an Early Access program that invites limited users to come forward and test the beta builds.

While the stable Android 11 update is far, anything with an Android 11 tag will be welcomed by the users.

As soon as this channel goes live, users will have an application available in the trial version section in the update center.

Early responders will have a higher chance of making it to the rollout list.

This will be followed by a host of beta updates before finally releasing the stable Android 11 update for the device.

This program is expected to go live sometime around the end of the month (Update 81). So, the wait will be a little longer than what users would have anticipated.
