Samsung has been pretty busy lately by firstly updating most of its eligible devices to One UI 3.0 based on Android 11 and is now focusing on its next iterative update – One UI 3.1.

We previously highlighted how some devices are being updated directly to One UI 3.1 thus effectively skipping One UI 3.0. Fortunately, the Samsung Galaxy M21 isn’t one of them as it had been treated to One UI 3.0 back in January.

All this only shows how significantly Samsung has upped their update game when compared to other OEMs. The Samsung Galaxy M21 is clearly a budget device. Yet it bagged Android 11 back in January itself.

In comparison, other OEMs like Xiaomi and OnePlus are still struggling to roll out Android 11 for some of their flagship devices. Samsung’s position in terms of updates may not be perfect, but it sure crushes most of competition.

Anyway, the Samsung Galaxy M21 has now bagged its next Android 11-based update, namely the iterative One UI 3.1 update. Several Galaxy M21 owners in India have confirmed receiving the update. It carries the build number M215FXXU2BUC8 and is 964.16MB in size.

The update also brings with it the latest March security patch besides bumping up the One UI version. Download link has been given below:

  • Device: Samsung Galaxy M21
  • Codename: SM-M215F
  • Channel: India Stable
  • Version: One UI 3.1
  • Android: 11
    • Type: Recovery

For the uninitiated, One UI 3.1 brings Google Discover feed integration, Google Home Device Controls, Google Duo integration, new video call effects, eye comfort shield, object eraser in Gallery, new Camera features, and more.

If you haven’t received the update yet, then you can perform a manual check from Settings > Software update > Download and install. If it still fails to show up, then the likely reason is that the update is being rolled out in stages and hasn’t yet made it yet to your device.

That said, be sure to inform us if you have received the One UI 3.1 update on your Samsung Galaxy M21 in the comments below. If yes, then let us know about your experience so far.
