Original story (published on March 13, 2021) follows:

Oppo has made a bit of a splash this year thanks to its relatively quicker rollout of Android 11 to certain eligible models when compared to a few other OEMs.

Over the past few months, the company has released the Android 11 update to a bunch of smartphones via beta or stable updates and we’ve been keeping track of all developments in our dedicated tracker.

Most recently, Oppo pushed the stable ColorOS 11 update to the Oppo Reno2 F in India and now it seems that the company is rolling out ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11 for the Oppo F15.

The device picked up the Android 11 beta update towards the tail-end of January in India and the update has been in testing since then.

According to a recent ColorOS 11 timeline shared by the company, the Oppo Reno 15 was expected to pick up the update to Android 11 on March 17 in India.

But a couple of users (1, 2) have taken to Twitter to confirm that they have received the official Android 11 update on their Oppo F15 units with ColorOS 11.1 on top.

As per the screenshot shared by the individual on Twitter, the update is rolling out with the software version number F.10 and brings the ColorOS 11.1 skin instead of the ColorOS 11 skin to the Oppo F15.

We haven’t been able to get our hands on a detailed changelog for the new update. However, you can expect to see most of the new features that were introduced with the new skin.

That said, Oppo has not yet made an announcement regarding the rollout of ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11 for the Oppo F15 in India.

It’s possible that the update is only available to a limited number of users at the time of writing. If that’s the case, the wider rollout should begin sooner rather than later.

So stay tuned to our dedicated tracker to know more about the status of ColorOS 11 for the Oppo F15 or any other eligible device for that matter.

We’ll post an update once the official announcement for the Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 update on the Oppo F15 goes live.
