Oppo has been pushing the Android 11 update to a bunch of smartphones over the past few months. Earlier today, the company announced that it has begun recruiting users to try out ColorOS 11 on the Oppo Reno2.
This was as per the company’s Open Beta plans for March that it had shared earlier this month.
Similarly, the company also divulged details regarding the availability of the stable ColorOS 11 update in March for a bunch of smartphones including the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom.
According to Oppo’s roadmap, the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom, along with the Reno Ace, Reno3 Pro 5G, Reno2, Reno4 SE 5G, and Oppo K7 were scheduled to bag the update to Android 11 with ColorOS 11 on March 9, i.e., today.
Lo and behold, the OEM has indeed made a public announcement regarding the release of the new Android version along with the company’s latest and greatest skin for the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom.
According to details shared by Oppo, the ColorOS 11 update for the Reno 10x Zoom has begun rolling out to users in India and Indonesia.
Those who have the C.33 or C.34 software version installed on their units should get the update to Android 11 which bears the software version number F.40.
Follow the steps below to get the new Android version up and running on your device:
1) Click [Settings] – [Software Updates]
2) Click [Settings] – [Official Version Application] -tick[I agree]-Apply now
3) Click to check new version-Download-Install
4) Upgrade success
Like most other OTA updates for Android phones, this too is rolling out in batches and it may take a couple of hours to show up on your unit.
ColorOS 11 brings a boatload of new features and improvements over ColorOS 7.2. However, the availability of certain features may depend on your region and hardware limitations. More on that here.
Now that Oppo has released the stable version of ColorOS 11 for the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom, it’s likely that the Reno Ace, Reno3 Pro 5G, Reno2, Reno4 SE 5G, and Oppo K7 will also bag the update soon.
