New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on March 1, 2021) follows:
OnePlus was one of the first OEMs to begin rolling out the Android 11 update and the first devices to bag it were the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro.
In January, the company announced the OxygenOS 11 Open Beta program for the OnePlus Nord and then the OnePlus 7 and 7T series got the Open Beta soon after.
That said, the company rolled out the Open Beta 2 for the OnePlus 7 and 7T series and even released the Open Beta 3 update for the OnePlus Nord.
Now, as the title suggests, OnePlus has released the OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 3 update based on Android 11 for the OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7T series as well.
This new beta update brings a bunch of bug-fixes such as a fix for the Netflix HD videos not playing, Double tap to wake not working at times, and a few other problems.
Here’s the complete changelog for the OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 3 update for the OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, and OnePlus 7T Pro.
System
– Optimized the effect of unlocking animation
– Fixed the issue of slow charging rate in some cases
– Fixed the lagging issue when playing screen-recorded videos
– Fixed the small probability failure issue with the Double Tap to Wake
– Fixed the issue that Netflix could not play HD videos

At the time of writing this piece, OnePlus has not yet released the Open Beta 3 for the standard OnePlus 7.
According to a staff member, a few issues need to be sorted before the company rolls out the Open Beta 3 for the OnePlus 7.
In the announcement, OnePlus also mentioned the following:
Enabling the AOD feature will lead to increased power consumption in the build. However, this will be optimized in the upcoming builds.
With the release of the OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 3 for the OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, and OnePlus 7T Pro, the company is now one step closer to rolling out the stable update. Hopefully without any delay.
In the meantime, stay tuned to our dedicated tracker to know more about OxygenOS 11 and its availability for all eligible devices from OnePlus.
Update 1 (March 5)
IST 11:00 am: Users of the OnePlus 7 are still a little out of luck (1,2,3)
as the download link to the OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 3 update is yet to be made public 4 days after the other OnePlus 7 devices got the update.
OnePlus’ Danmark Twitter handle in response to one user’s Tweet confirms that the update is still in the works but fails to disclose any meaningful timelines.
Unfortunately we do not have an exact date on when OOS11 will come to OnePlus 7, but we are working on the case 🙂

Update 2 (March 8)
IST 11:10 am: OnePlus’ partnership with esports company Fnatic is coming to a conclusion and as a result, OnePlus is renaming Fnatic Mode to Pro Gaming Mode. While not indicated in the changelog, it looks like this OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 3 based on Android 11 for the OnePlus 7 series was the first build with this change. More on that here.
Update 3 (March 10)
IST 12:10 pm: The Open Beta 3 build for the OnePlus 7 might be delayed even further as the HydrogenOS 11 equivalent is yet to be released. The hold-up is reportedly the Always-on-display feature that is still being worked on. More on that here.
