Nevertheless, users have been waiting for Realme to provide them with some utility features like cleaner and antivirus.

It was reported way back in September 2020 that the OEM was striving to bring the cleaner and antivirus feature to all Realme devices in Q4, 2020.

However, that did not transpire and the OEM also did not provide much clarity on the matter until recently.

In a recent weekly FAQ session, Realme addressed users’ queries regarding the Realme cleaner and antivirus feature.

It has now been stated by the OEM that the aforementioned feature is still being developed and optimized.

Also, Realme is now planning bring the cleaner and antivirus feature through Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) update in Q2, 2021.

Q. Where are realme’s own cleaner and antivirus? They should have been provided within Q4.
A. In order to provide a complete and smooth experience, we are developing and optimizing this feature which will be provided through realme UI 2.0 in Q2, 2021.

While the said feature was initially meant to be out in Q4, 2020, it seems that it still requires some fine tuning.

It is, however, still good to see that the OEM is striving to deliver what was promised to users.

That said, we will keep tracking this for further development and will provide more details once new information becomes available.
