The Realme UI 2.0 update is currently available on a bunch of smartphones through the Early Access and Open Beta programs that were opened up in the past couple of months.

Through these beta programs, a limited number of users have got a chance to try out the company’s latest skin over Android 11 before the update goes live for the general public.

Given the nature of beta updates, it’s no surprise that the Realme UI 2.0 beta builds have brought some bugs and issues along.

In the past, we had reported about the Netflix and Prime Video issues that were affecting many users who installed the Realme UI 2.0 Early Access update. We also highlighted the PayTM rooted device notification problem.

Of course, these are only two of several other problems that have been spotted with the new update. To know the status of all the bugs and issues on Realme UI 2.0, you can head here.

Now, as the title suggests, it seems users who installed the Realme UI 2.0 beta update have spotted another bug.

According to some, the ‘Search bar at screen bottom’ option is no longer available after installing the Realme UI 2.0 beta. We’ve shared some reports below for reference:

I have update my device Realme ui 2.0 after update I have format my device and after format system luncher setting search bar at bottom option remove Please add this option. (Source)

where is “search bar at the bottom” option.. it’s missing after the update (Source)

The issue has been spotted by Realme X2, X2 Pro, 7 Pro, and Realme 6 users too. However, it’s likely that the bug may exist on other devices for which the Realme UI 2.0 Early Access or Open Beta updates have been released.

It’s worth pointing out that the problem does not affect all users. This is because some have confirmed that the ‘Search bar at screen bottom’ option is available on their devices running the Realme UI 2.0 beta.

We’ve shared a screenshot that shows that the option is missing and one that shows the option present in the Home screen, Lock screen & Always-On Display settings.

As you can see from the screenshots above, the option isn’t available to some users while it’s available to others. This confirms that the feature being missing isn’t intentional.

Of course, this shouldn’t break your user experience, however, it means that you will not have access to the Google Search bar at the bottom of the screen in the default homescreen launcher.

According to a mod, the problem is only in the beta update and should be fixed with upcoming builds. So there’s no reason to fret as the ‘Search bar at screen bottom’ option will be making its way back to your device soon.
