Realme 7 Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) update may fix auto-brightness & touch issues on the device

The Realme 7 launched last year with the MediaTek Helio G95 running the show coupled with 6 GB + 64 GB RAM and storage options. The device comes with Android 10 alongside the company’s Realme UI 1.0 skin.

However, it’s currently in line to get the Android 11 update with Realme UI 2.0 on top. Matter of fact, Realme has already kick-started the Realme UI 2.0 Early Access program for the Realme 7.

The Early Access program will then lead to an Open Beta program after which the company will start pushing the stable update to the general public.

These beta testing programs help companies gain feedback from a limited number of users to improve the software experience and iron out bugs and issues before the stable update goes live.

Speaking of which, some Realme 7 users have been facing problems with the auto-brightness function and have also noticed issues with the touch input on the device.

After the recent software update RMX2151_11_A.63 on Realme 7, I’ve noticed that the Auto Brightness doesn’t adjust slowly and smoothly like before, it immediately goes from bright to dim (and vice versa) and it feels really annoying. (Source)

According to users, when the auto-brightness function is enabled, the screen gets bright or dim immediately based on the ambient light.

Of course, instant change in brightness does not appeal to most users. As for the touch issues, some users say that the device does not register their touch at times. This is usually fixed by locking and unlocking the phone.

Thankfully, the complaints have not gone unnoticed as a Realme moderator responded to a user’s query regarding the availability of a fix for auto-brightness and touch issues by saying that they will be fixed via upcoming updates.

Since Realme is working on the Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 update for the Realme 7, it’s likely that it may also fix the auto-brightness and touch issues on the device.

Of course, there are still chances that Realme may address the problems ahead of the Realme UI 2.0 update. Hence, we’ll simply have to wait and see what Realme does.
