New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on February 01, 2021) follows:
OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are among the few OnePlus devices currently running stable versions of the company’s Android 11-based custom skin, OxygenOS 11.
We have seen a few too many issues with OxygenOS 11 and we have been keeping track of many of these and you can check this out in our OxygenOS 11 bug tracker.
OnePlus has also been pretty forthcoming with bug fixes to these issues in updates rolled out regularly to these devices.
Earlier this year, we saw OnePlus rolling out one of these bug-fix updates to the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro users.
The update which bore software version number 11.0.3.3 brought fixes to the Gallery app, Clock, Bluetooth, and Network-related issues.
In the release statement, OnePlus noted that the update would go out to users in India and Europe with other regional variants set to follow soon.
Note: This update is mainly for the devices in the European and Indian regions. The update for the devices in the other regions is in preparation and is expected to be released soon. Please stay tuned.

Well, since then, users of the global variants of the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro (1,2,3) have been waiting for the rollout of an equivalent update with the same bug-fixes.
Many have turned to the community forums and social platforms to find out why their devices haven’t received the OxygenOS 11.0.3.3 update.
While responding to one of the user complaints on the community forums, a OnePlus bug hunter is of the feeling that OnePlus might skip this release altogether.
With this delay I think they might even skip it and go strait to 11.0.4.4

Of course, this is not an official OnePlus communication and as such, should be taken with a pinch of salt. However, it would make sense to see OnePlus skip this release altogether due to the long delay.
Besides, the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are due for a new security patch update seeing as the latest update was based on the November 2020 security patch.
We shall continue to keep an eye on this and update as and when a new update rolls out so stay tuned.
Update 1 (February 09)
11:09 am (IST): OnePlus has indeed skipped the OxygenOS 11.0.3.3 update for the Global OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro devices and has directly released the OxygenOS 11.0.4.4 to users.
The update brings a bunch of fixes including a fix for the Gallery app bug which prevented videos from playing. We’ve shared a screenshot of the changelog below:
