New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on January 28, 2021) follows:

The Realme X2 Pro was the company’s first attempt at a flagship device and it brought a host of high-end features at an aggressive price point.

It launched with Android 9 Pie pre-installed with Oppo’s ColorOS 6.1 UI on top and was one of the first phones from the company to get the brand new Realme UI 1.0 skin based on Android 10.

Cut to now, the Realme X2 Pro is in line to receive the update to Android 11 with the company’s Realme UI 2.0 skin which brings a host of new features and improvements.

Matter of fact, the company opened up the Early Access program in December for interested Realme X2 Pro users to try out Android 11 on their devices ahead of the public release.

Realme, however, did not share any details regarding the availability of the stable update for the device.

Luckily, we’ve now come across an alleged screenshot of a conversation between a user and Realme support wherein the support agent has shed some light on the availability of the stable update and the open beta.

According to the Realme support agent, the open beta will be released by the end of the month. However, with just a few days left for January to end, this information should be taken with a bit of skepticism.

Nevertheless, the agent goes on to claim that the stable Realme UI 2.0 update based on Android 11 will go live by end of March for the Realme X2 Pro.

We also got our hands on a similar screenshot wherein the support agent from the company had claimed that the stable Realme UI 2.0 update would go live for the Realme 7 Pro by March 21. More on that here.

Therefore, it’s possible that the information allegedly shared by Realme support might indeed be correct.

That being said, we’d suggest taking the details shared here with a grain of salt since the company’s customer support has, in the past, provided some false information such as claiming that the stable update for the Realme X2 Pro was released even though that was not the case.

All that’s left to do is wait and see whether or not the Realme UI 2.0 Open Beta program for Realme X2 Pro goes live in the next few days.

Meanwhile, stay tuned to our dedicated tracker to know more about the status and availability of Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 for all eligible devices from the company.

Update (February 04)
