New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on January 05, 2021) follows:

In October 2020, the Poco F2 Pro variant sold in China as the Redmi K30 Pro bagged the stable update to Android 11, albeit for limited users.

The update arrived alongside the October security patch, but due to some audio-related bug, the rollout was halted, only to be resumed this week as version 12.2.2.0.RJKCNXM.

Similarly, the initial Android 11 update for the actual Poco F2 Pro that came out in late November as version 12.2.1.0.RJKMIXM was pulled back for unnamed reasons.

After presumably addressing the issues, Poco resumed rolling out the same update a while later, but this time as version 12.2.3.0.RJKMIXM, tagging along an updated December 2020 security patch.

Unfortunately, this update was also somehow unstable and as a result, Poco decided against the wider rollout for global users, at least until now.

As of this writing, we have our eyes on yet another Android 11 build for the global Poco F2 Pro as version 12.2.4.0.RJKMIXM.

The update mostly keeps the same changelog as the previous version, but of course, you can always expect a couple or so surprises under the hood, including fixes for any other annoying bugs.

[System]
– Stable MIUI based on Android 11
– Updated Android Security Patch to December 2020. Increased system security.

[Camera]
– New: 3 new AI watermarks
– New: New templates for vlogs
– New: Vlogs can be now saved as drafts
– Optimization: New vlog templates and presets will be available for downloading from the cloud from now on

There is no mention of the bugs that have been fixed in the latest update nor does the changelog go into details of what was wrong. But we hope this time around no major issues will pop up after this update.

For those who cannot wait for the OTA rollout, we do have the link to download the latest Poco F2 Pro Android 11 update right below, but be sure you know how to perform manual installation.
