New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on January 25, 2021) follows:

The Realme X50 Pro was released early last year as the company’s first 5G-equipped smartphone and also one of the first devices to sport the Snapdragon 865 chipset.

Realme launched the device running the latest Android version at the time — Android 10. Being the company’s flagship for 2020, it was also one of the first phones to get the Android 11 beta alongside the Google Pixels.

Adding to the list of ‘firsts’, the Realme X50 Pro was also the first phone from the company to get the stable Realme UI 2.0 update based on Android 11.

The stable update began rolling out in December, however, it was only available to Realme X50 Pro users in India.

Moreover, Realme failed to share any details regarding the availability of Realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11 for the Realme X50 Pro in Europe.

Now, more than a month later since the initial rollout, users in Europe are yet to get the stable software update on their devices.

Adding to the disappointment, it appears that Realme X50 Pro users in Europe will have to wait a few months more before they receive the Realme UI 2.0 update on their devices.

Thanks to one of our readers, we’ve got our hands on an alleged screenshot of what appears to be a message from the company’s customer care for Italy.

Translated to English:

Hello, being written by us, it is reliable. On the Italian market, UI 2.0 for realme X50 Pro will be available starting from May (as we indicated in the public comment).

In the message, the customer care agent claims that the Android 11 update with the company’s new in-house skin will be released in May for the Realme X50 Pro.

While the message is from Realme Italy, it’s more than likely that this applies to the rest of Europe.

If the information is true, it means that there would be a total gap of 5 months between the initial rollout and the rollout for users in Europe.

As usual, we will continue tracking the situation and will post an update if and when Realme sheds some light on the delay.

In the meantime, stay tuned to our dedicated tracker to know more about the status and availability of Realme UI 2.0 for all eligible devices.
