Original story (published on January 24, 2021) follows:

Like many other OEMs, Oppo has been hard at work, developing, testing and rolling out Android 11 to eligible devices over the past several weeks.

We have been closely following the development in this front and you can check out our dedicated Oppo Android 11 tracker for the state of ColorOS 11 on eligible devices.

Oppo Reno2 F

Today, the company is taking yet another step towards the full rollout of its Android 11-based ColorOS 11 to its eligible devices with some development involving the Oppo Reno2 F.

The Reno2 F was first unveiled back in October 2019 and at first glance, it is not winning any contests. It is powered by the Mediatek Helio P70 chip and ran Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6.1 out of the box.

Since then, the device has received fairly regular updates and it currently runs on Android 10-based ColorOS 7.

But hopefully not for long as today, the company is inviting users of the Oppo Reno2 F that would like to be part of the Android 11 Beta testing program ahead of the official rollout of the stable release.

This invitation is going out to owners of the Reno2 F in India for now and to be part of the early adopters, you have until January 26 to apply for one of the limited available slots.

Beta version is set for Reno2 F, and this batch is in India (other regions please stay tuned to ColorOS Community News).

You’ll then need to:

Click ‘Settings’>> ‘Software Update’>> Click the settings icon on the screen>> Apply for Beta Version>>Update Beta Version. And then follow the guide to apply. (If the application quota is full, please wait for the next round)

Update 1 (February 11)

05:30 pm (IST): Oppo Care India has responded to a user’s query by letting them know that the ColorOS 11 update for the Oppo Reno2 F is rolling out in batches for the device. However, we’d suggest taking this information with a grain of salt since we have not come across any user reports.
