Android 11 has been available for a few months at this point and various Android phone-makers have been hard at work since then, working on their respective Android 11 builds.
We have been following the progress of the development and deployment of this new version of Android and you can check out our dedicated Android 11 tracker that spans across all major Android OEMs.
Vivo has also been steadily working on its Android 11-based custom Android skin, OriginOS. We have more on this new skin from Vivo and you can check that out here.
Today, we see a little more development from the company with regards to the development of this new Android 11-based skin for a number of its eligible devices.
According to new reports, Vivo is calling on users of a few of its devices who would like to take part in testing out OriginOS to sign up for a slot in the program.
The devices that Vivo is calling to take part in this OriginOS public beta recruitment include:
– Vivo Nex 3
– Vivo Nex 3 5G
– Vivo X30
– Vivo X30 Pro
– iQOO Neo
– iQOO Neo 855 Racing
This recruitment exercise, the company says, will begin on January 25 and will run until January 27. That said, it won’t be until January 28 when the first batch of devices will receive these Android 11-based OriginOS test builds on their devices.
It is important to note that the OriginOS is a China-exclusive firmware at the moment and international devices are still going to be running FuntouchOS 11.
We shall continue to keep an eye on this and update as and when we get more info on this OriginOS Public Beta so stay tuned PiunikaWeb for these and more.
