New updates are being added at the bottom…..
Original story (published on December 22, 2020) follows:
Realme has set a target for a fast track rollout of its in-house skin — Realme UI 2.0 — based on Android 11.
While Realme X50 Pro and Realme 7 Pro have already bagged Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0, the likes of Realme 6 Pro, Realme 7, and more are getting prepared for the big leap.
Despite the fact that Realme UI 2.0 is the rebadged ColorOS 11, users’ adulation and eagerness to receive the update are enough to tell the kind of expectations they have from the company.
As per the Realme UI 2.0 official roadmap, Realme 6 Pro and Realme 7 have been scheduled to receive the Realme UI 2.0 by the end of December.
Recently, news broke out that Realme X2 Pro has started receiving Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) as stable update. The same source has once again spilled out the news for more Realme devices that were in the pipeline.
Realme India support, the official Twitter handle that represents the company on being asked about Realme 6 Pro’s Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) update has come forward to reveal availability details.
Hi there,
We would like to inform you that we have started to roll out the stable update of realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 for realme 6 Pro in a staged rollout manner and it will soon be available to all the users. Kindly stay tuned to our community page for more info.
Hold on, the same exciting news goes for Realme 7 users too. Replying to another query regarding Realme UI 2.0 availability on Realme 7, support said:
Hi Parthasarathi,
We would like to inform you that we have started to roll out the stable update of realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 for realme 7 in a staged rollout manner and it will soon be available to all the users. Kindly stay tuned to our community page for more info.
The only reason one would think this statement has weight is that it comes straight from an official account that is solely meant to resolve user queries.
But the hard fact is that Realme support hasn’t been quite accurate with such details in the past.
To corroborate our skepticism, one of the administrators in the Realme Community, Wei, in a statement has denied the credibility of the support’s response on Realme 7 Pro’s stable Realme UI 2.0 update.
That’s the wrong info, we had ask the CS team to adjust the respond. And we will push the development to relaese the next version asap
Wei also says that customer support has been directed to change their implausible response on this matter. Chances are that the same misleading information has been conveyed in the case of Realme 7 and Realme 6 Pro Android 11 news.
Realme India Support has not given a single good reason to believe their statements as the device sections lie dormant with no signs of Realme UI 2.0.
However, Realme has managed to keep its words when it comes to updates, and if these devices have been promised an update in December then an update around the end of the month is highly likely.
We at PiunikaWeb make sure that our readers don’t miss any updates in this regard. Follow our Realme UI 2.0 update tracker to stay updated with the latest developments.
