Poco F1 made its mark with an overwhelming sales record in both Indian and global markets. And two years down the line, the community of its users, as well as the software update domain, is still very active.
The company continued to add more devices to its pool and after two years, finally announced its separation from the parent company, Xiaomi.
Poco, even after becoming an autonomous enterprise, has no immediate plans to develop its own UI. The brand will continue to have MIUI running on their systems.
But that doesn’t mean the software development department has to be compromised. In fact, Poco F1 users have already bagged two major updates and may even get MIUI 12.5 update.
The streak of new additions and improvements appears to be continuing for the Poco F1 as a fresh report coming straight from the Xiaomi forum moderator suggests some new additions to the software front.
The forum moderator appears to be assuring a user about the addition of equalizer support for Bluetooth (wireless) devices in the near future. The mod says:
For now, only wired headphones have equalisers and sound effect settings. But MIUI China ROM is said to receive equalisers for wireless devices too, and it is said to be pushed to Global in the coming months. So we should have hope.
Poco F1 does not allow music equalizer to function on the wireless audio devices. This function can only be enjoyed with a wired earphone/headphone.
But the good news here is that the feature is already being tested and it’s likely to be pushed to global units in the coming months with an OTA update.
Now that a big chunk of users is shifting to TWS earphones, it becomes a necessity to at least have an equalizer in place. The device users, after the induction of this feature, will have a rich music experience.
However, the future implementation of this feature on other Poco devices available in the market still remains unclear. But what it’s worth, devs may add this feature afterall.
With these software update developments approaching, Poco F1 users have every reason to rejoice. In the meantime, you can also check out our MIUI 12.5 coverages here.
