Original story (published on December 1, 2020) follows:

OxygenOS 11 is a drastic departure from the traditional way OnePlus has been making its custom Android skins, moving away from its stock Android inspiration to a Samsung One UI-esque look and feel.

Its huge cosmetic changes notwithstanding, OxygenOS 11 brings a lot to the table. New lock screens, new always-on display options with the prospects of even more features in the pipeline.

At the time of writing, OnePlus has already rolled out OxygenOS 11 to the OnePlus 8 series of devices. Add the OnePlus 8T that launched with this skin out of the box and these are the only devices that are running OnePlus’ Android 11 skin.

Other eligible devices are set to get updated towards the end of the year and early next year, at least according to unofficial reports.

So what’s coming to these eligible devices with the OxygenOS 11 update? Well, OnePlus 8 series supports AOD thanks to the update to OxygenOS 11.

Other OnePlus devices are also expected to get AOD with the update to OxygenOS 11, but there was no confirmation regarding the new AOD modes that OnePlus has been adding to OxygenOS 11 via incremental updates.

Well, up until now. A OnePlus staff member has revealed that OnePlus 7/7T series should also get the new Canvas and Insight AOD modes.

Although there is no mention, it looks inevitable that OxygenOS 11 will be the update that brings the features to 7/T series and other eligible devices.
