Original story (published on November 05, 2020) follows:

Oppo’s ColorOS 11 (Android 11) update is being prepared for a bunch of devices and among them, Oppo A52.

Oppo A52 came out in April with Android 10-based ColorOS 7.1 out-of-the-box and now the wait for the update to ColorOS 11 based on Android 11 is on.

The OEM has released the stable ColorOS 11 update for the Oppo Find X2 and Find X2 Pro but in limited capacity.

The beta program is live for several devices whereas the Oppo A52 was initially scheduled to get the beta update in December 2020.

Now, it seems that the OEM has started the Oppo A52 ColorOS 11 Alpha testing registration in India.

The registration notice was recently posted on the ColorOS Community where interested users can apply to get the latest OS Alpha build for their Indian Oppo A52 units.

Also, users will be notified to participate in the ColorOS 11 Alpha testing program within three days once their application gets accepted.

However, the current quota allows only one hundred participants in the testing program. Unfortunately, even though expected at some point, there is no news on when the next quota will be welcomed to participate.

It must be noted that Alpha builds are highly unstable and cannot be used as daily drivers since they are purely meant for digging out bugs and issues.

Moreover, many apps and services are not supported on these builds because of various reasons including the lack of CTS certification.

Hence, it is advisable for regular users to avoid using Alpha builds and wait for the stable version to arrive.
