Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) offers a lot of improvements and new features like decimal charging, charging animation, and much more.

While the latest update is yet to reach eligible Realme devices, Realme UI 2.0 has been around in the form of open beta for quite some time now.

Realme recently held another session of its OS Q&A with developers and this time the focus was on device charging.

Many users asked why Realme UI 2.0 decimal charging shows only for the first 20 seconds after plugging in the device while others asked about the addition of new charging animation.

Realme developers acknowledged all queries related to charging but it seems that it might not be feasible to accept all requests including the addition of displaying the remaining charging time.

The developers stated that the actual remaining charging time can be a little too complicated to calculate which is why an approximate value is shown instead.

For the Realme UI 2.0 decimal charging queries, the devs stated that the decision to show it only for the first 20 seconds was taken in order to optimize the accuracy of battery charging.

It is understandable that the exact remaining charging time is hard to calculate which might also be the reason behind displaying the decimal charging info for only 20 seconds.

Dev: Hello! The remaining charging time is not that easy to calculate – we decided not to provide that, rather than showing an approximate value.

Dev: Hey! We made this decision in order to optimize battery charging accuracy, in realme UI 2.0 the decimal charging shows only for the first 20 seconds after plugging in.

However, this is based on our speculation as the developers did not mention anything except the accuracy optimization strategy for the decimal charging feature.

Users also asked whether a new charging animation will be added to Realme UI 2.0 in the future or not and the developers suggested that the requested feature might arrive.

Apart from that, a user asked for something like an overnight charging mode which is already available in Realme UI 2.0 while another user asked how it works.

Q: Will there be a new charging animation in the future
A: Maybe we always try to provide more customization options

Q: Can we expect overnight charging mode or something like that for Realme devices as if sometimes we forgot our phones on charging overnight so that it charges accordingly.
A: Yes, realme UI 2.0 includes optimized charging to ensure battery and charging optimization when charging in multiple scenarios.

Please explain the technology behind optimized night charging
Dev: The device learns your sleeping and usage patterns, checks the alarm clock time, and optimizes the charging input in order to reach 100% a little before you get up – and not hours before.

Realme constantly holds such sessions on the Realme Community which clearly shows that the OEM is inclined towards providing the best possible user experience based on user feedback.

That said, we will keep tracking the development of Realme UI 2.0 so stay tuned to get the latest updates on the topic.
